From January 1, 2020, more than 30 million Russian pensioners will begin to receive increased pensions due to the planned indexation of 6.6%. This was reported by Interfax regarding the press service of the Ministry of Labor.
“From January 1, 2020, insurance pensions for non-working pensioners will be indexed by 6.6%, which will significantly exceed the level of expected inflation in 2019 (3.8%),” the agency said.
It is noted that the average annual increase in old-age pension for non-working pensioners will average 1 thousand rubles.
According to the previously submitted materials of the Russian tripartite commission, in Russia the average size of pensions next year will be about 15 thousand rubles.
The average size of old-age insurance pensions for non-working people will amount to 16.4 thousand rubles.
According to the government, in 2020 insurance pensions will be indexed by 6.6%, social - by 7%.
