Jamal Adams was direct with his Jets frustration on Tuesday. The star safety turned cryptic on Wednesday.
“Find your purpose or you’re wasting air,” Adams wrote in Associate in Nursing Instagram story on a weekday, a day after he was the subject of trade talks with the Ravens and Cowboys interested in acquiring him before Tuesday’s 4 p.m. deadline.
“Any reports of Maine asking to be listed from the big apple Jets are fully false,” Adams tweeted just after general manager Joe Douglas spoke with the media Tuesday. “At the top of the week last week, I sat down with the GM and Coach [Adam] Gase and told them I want to be here in New York.
“I was told (Monday) by my agent that the GM then went behind my back and shopped me around to teams, even after I asked him to keep me here! Crazy business.”
Douglas told reporters that Adams was never shopped, but they did listen to inquiring teams.
